MANILA, Philippines - Filipino managers are taking their rightful place at the top of the international business community.
It used to be that executive positions of top multinational organizations were tightly controlled in a top-down manner. International managers would be sent from the home office to country offices throughout the world. Methane plant eyes carbon credits

MANILA, Philippines - Montalban Methane Power Corp. (MMPC) expects to gain 500,000 carbon credits from the operations of its power plant at the Rodriguez landfill in the next five years.

Cebu Pacific increases GenSan-Manila flights

GENERAL SANTOS CITY, Philippines - Budget airline Cebu Pacific Air is increasing its flights from this city to Manila starting next week as it capitalizes on the growing investment and tourism potentials of the city and neighboring provinces.
This will bring to four the regular flights from this city servicing the Manila and Cebu routes.
Nathaniel Y. Nazareno, chief of the Air Transportation Office here, said the Gokongwei-owned carrier would add morning flights starting July 11 on a thrice-a-week frequency. More Cebu Pacific increases GenSan-Manila flights

Philippine firm brings old WWII jeeps back to life

MANILA, Philippines -- The rugged Willy Jeep has been given a new lease of life by a small factory in Manila reproducing the iconic World War II vehicle for a growing international market nostalgic for the past.
