AS THE secretariat of the Davao chamber's SME Development (Smed) Council, which proposes Davao River to be transformed into river highways, the regional office of the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) expresses support to the proposal.

HAGATNA, Guam - If Barack Obama becomes the US president, America’s national policies would somehow be influenced by a Filipino: Charmaine Manansala, who has been selected as a senior adviser to the Democratic party candidate.
Manansala is now the Asian-American and Pacific Islander Vote director for the Obama campaign.

WASHINGTON D.C.--President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo has pressed for the passage of the Filipino veterans equity bill in her separate meetings with US President George W. Bush and other leaders here.
The proposed bill, which was passed in the US Senate with a vote of 96-1 last April but remains pending at the US House of Representatives, seeks to give pension benefits for Filipino veterans who served with US forces during World War II.
