Jo Koy one of the hottest acts in the comedy circuit, is of Filipino descent and born in Tacoma, WA. He was encouraged by his mother and sister at a young age to join school shows and perform in front of family and friends. He started doing standup comedy in a comedy club in Las Vegas in 1996. Jokoy found his dream on stage and later became one of the most requested acts in the Catch a Rising Star show at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.

It was during one of his highly attended stints when a talent coordinator from LA spotted him and gave him a spot on BET's Comic View. His famous catch phrase "I Love Orange Chicken!", continues to make audiences laugh wherever he goes. Jokoy opened for a lot of famous celebs like Dave Chappelle (Dave Chapelle show), Mike Epps ( Next Friday) and Snoop Doggy Dogg. He was also a part of Carlos Mencia's 2006 The Punisher tour performing stand up shows across the country.

The highest honor he received in his career was a standing ovation after his performance on Jay Leno's Tonight Show. He also performed on Jimmy Kimmel's show, and Last Call with Carson Daly. Currently Jokoy is doing regular stints at the Laugh Factory, tours the college circuits and is also working with Comedy Central for a comedy show.
