Oscar Lopez, Chairman of the Lopez Inc. media group, which controls ABS-CBN Broadcasting. He was cited in the Forbes Magazine's February 2008 edition as one of the 48 Asian Altruist. His most notable contribution was the donation of 14 hectares of the family's land to 116 families who suffered from the country's worst oil spill in Guimaras island in central in 2006. The Lopez Group Foundation is also helping to set up a cooperative farming venture there. In 1999 he started First Philippine Conservation, which works to protect country's largest remaining block of old-growth rain forest in the Sierra Madre range.

He was also the 1st Filipino Businessman to receive the Officer's Cross of the Order of Merit of the Federal Republic of Germany (2005).
